My husband Miles and his business partner Mark, who together make up the entire staff of Mangold Entertainment, book local musicians for shows in our area. They’ve been expanding their cache of artists from local singer/songwriters to nationally known acts, such as Steve Forbert, Ellis Paul, John Cowan, Erin McKeowen, and Jill Sobule.
When news broke of the tragic earthquake in Haiti, they immediately decided to assemble some of their best local favorites for a two-day benefit concert series. The two shows both sold out to great crowds at NightCat, a 60-seat venue in Easton, Maryland. Total funds raised topped $2000, thanks to generous patrons who donated beyond the $15 ticket price.
The shows were fun, the bands were great, the beer and wine delicious, and all for a humanitarian cause!
